Established in 2017, InnovEng (S) Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based company, which specializes in products and technologies for environmental projects, and in particular (waste)water projects.
The range of products and technologies that InnovEng exclusively represents span across liquid, solid and gas treatment. We are also actively exploring new innovations in smart water monitoring, carbon sequestration, flood control and coastal protection.
With our network and experience, InnovEng is able to provide a complete range of services from trend mapping, technology sourcing, project design to delivery, supervision of installation and testing and commissioning. This whole process is seamless and efficient.
The path for a SME, albeit a startup, is a long, difficult and challenging one. With limited funds and resources, we often have to multi-task and manage our time between administrative, business development and project execution work. Building up our reputation and credibility is a constant work-in-progress which has minimal room for errors.
Moving forward, we have identified 4 key areas to rebrand and reposition ourselves:
- Expand vertically (co-fabrication and licensing) and horizontally (product line)
- Diversify into other market segments and regional countries
- Strengthen the team through recruitment and reorganization
- Enhance our credentials by achieving ISO 9001 and BCA work heads
This award is significant to InnovEng not only as a recognition of our work but also for the engineering sector. This industry is neither as glamorous as the financial/banking sector, nor prominent like medicine or law practice, but engineering is the foundation of all disciplines and the building block of infrastructure. Henceforth, I hope with this award, SMEs will be recognized, this industry will be respected and that InnovEng’s story can give confidence to budding entrepreneurs to step out and step up.
