Evelyn Tan

Evelyn started her career as a Project and Process Engineer with a local Singapore water company. She ventured into sales and business development in Year 2007, she was stationed in Vietnam for 5 years to run projects and expand business for both the Vietnam and Indonesia markets. Upon her return to Singapore in 2012, she led the Business Development and Tender department, focusing on the Singapore market but holding a keen watch over the region (Southeast Asia, and China).

In terms of competency, Evelyn is effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin, which is a huge advantage to the business. This effective bilingualism is essential to her routine tasks of vetting and preparing agreements and contacts prior to critical negotiations.

Evelyn possesses excellent business acumen, and is also technically competent in the field of water treatment technologies. She stays abreast of the state-of-the-art technologies, and has keen insight that enables her to foresee upcoming trends in the industry. This was the factor that led her to start up InnovEng in 2015.

At the 6th Asia-Singapore Infrastructure Roundtable (on 18th October 2016), our Senior Minister of State – Miss Sim Ann – made a special mention of Evelyn as an example among the pool of Singapore talent, who has the relevant skillsets and expertise to lead major infrastructure investment projects in Asia.

Barry

Barry is a project engineer in InnovEng (S) Pte Ltd. With a strong fundamental of project management, he works closely with clients to provide an understanding on the project’s requirement, durable and high-quality solution for wastewater projects in Singapore.

He takes pride in ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability while remaining on time and within budget.
InnovEng not only providing solution to customers but also services such as delivery and installation. InnovEng also dedicated to transforming the built environment with innovative engineering solutions. When he not working on projects, he usually exploring new technologies in the environmental engineering space and staying up-to-date with industry trends.

Outside of works, he likes to enjoy playing pickleball and badminton, which helps him stay energized. Whether it’s part of his hobbies, he finds these activities to be great way to unwind and stay balanced. Additionally, he is also passionate about learning new language during his leisure time.

In conclusion, he is someone who is always striving for personal growth and stay positive minded. He is excited to continue contributing to the growth of company and helps the team push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Kai Pin

Kai Pin is a Project Engineer specializing in Mechanical Engineering at InnovEng. He applies his extensive technical expertise and keen attention to detail to every project he undertakes. With a strong understanding of project management principles, Kai Pin develops work schedule and project plan that includes timeline, budget, resources etc. He collaborates closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure the project specifications are met and that high-quality solutions are delivered on schedule. Kai Pin is passionate about sustainable engineering practices, with a strong interest in wastewater treatment solutions. Kai Pin obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Sabah in 2022.

Outside of work, Kai Pin leads a well-rounded and active lifestyle. He enjoys playing badminton and regularly goes to the gym, both of which help him maintain his physical health and stay energized for his professional responsibilities. A strategic thinker by nature, he also has a passion for board games, appreciating the mental challenge and teamwork involved.

Kai Pin is deeply interested in debate and often engages in discussions on current affairs. He closely follows political news, both local and international, and enjoys analyzing different perspectives on governance and policy. His curiosity also extends to history, where he finds value in understanding past events and their influence on today’s world. These interests not only keep him informed but also sharpen his critical thinking and communication skills – traits that complement his role as an engineer.
